PADI IE March 2015 was successful
After two long and nerve wrecking days of the recent PADI IE for March 2015 in Moalboal, we can now say that the PADI IE March 2015 was successful.
Both Christophe and Steve controlled their nerves very good and with the accumulated knowledge and experience of the recent PADI IDC in Moalboal, they managed to get very high scores in all parts of the PADI IE.
The PADI IE was conducted on 20th and 21st March. Because there were more candidates in Moalboal compared to cebu City, the original location, the IE was moved to Moalboal, so our candidates had a ‘home game’.
The first day was a long and action packed day, starting out with an ‘Orientation’ by Marc van der Poel, the PADI Examiner for this PADI IE program. he explained all the rules , sorted out the (legal) paperwork, made sure the schedule was understood and tried to make everybody feel a bit more relaxed, although that’s an oxymoron during an exam setting! He did a good job though and everybody was a bit more relaxed after his PADI IE orientation.
PADI IE March 2015 was successful
After all 13 IE participants had ‘survived’ the orientation, the first part of the IE was confined water. Chris and Steve had their equipment all sorted and ready to go during the previous evening and they only needed to pick it up at PADI 5* IDC center ‘Neptune Diving Adventure’ down the road. Chris and Steve did very well with very high scores in their presentation and skill circuit skills. The tone was set for a successful day!
Second part was the Knowledge Development, their classroom presentations and they nailed this with ease. Once more very high scores.
Last part for the day were the 5 Theory exams and the General Standards & Procedures exam. On all 6 exams they scored once more very high! day one was in the bag and now all focus went to the next day, with just their open water presentations remaining.
Early morning on the 21st, all met for their Open Water presentations. This is always a bit of a nervous ritual, since there’s no remake for this part of the IE. Nonetheless, Christophe and Steve stayed cool and sorted this part as well with ease.
Platinum PADI Course Director Camille and PADI 5* IDC Center ‘Neptune Diving Adventure’ maintained their 100% pass rate during their PADI IE’s and can welcome two brand new PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors! The PADI IE March 2015 was successful indeed! Well done Christophe and Steve!
Come and join us for our next PADI IDC programs here in Moalboal, starting 18th May, 14th September and 22nd November.
